Leading geometallurgy analysis laboratory SGS Minerals Services recently commissioned QEMSCAN® number 50 in their Lakefield Canada facility. This landmark system is the seventh QEMSCAN® operated by SGS Minerals around the world.

The system is designed for unattended, high productivity digital analysis of minerals, rocks and materials.

The QEMSCAN® serial number 50 installed by SGS Minerals in Canada is the flagship E430 model with four liquid nitrogen free EDS detectors; Backscatter Electron and Secondary Electron imaging; and the latest release of the iDiscover™ analytic software. SGS Minerals will be using this advanced high productivity system to further extend their service offerings and capacity in mineralogical and metallurgical analysis.
